Permax Recruitment is working in partnership with a London based firm who are on the lookout for a Software Engineer. For nearly a century, our client has been building a firm as accountants, auditors, tax specialists and close advisors to clients operating in emerging markets, disrupting the status quo.

This has accelerated thanks to the blockchain. In 2017, a client asked to help with an ICO and they have been crypto pilled ever since, developing into what is currently the leading professional services firm on chain.

In 2023, they opened a new leg of the business to carve out a team dedicated to all things Web3, which is now over 80 strong and servicing near 600 digital asset clients globally. They partner with some of the industry's most influential players—cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain innovators, Web3 pioneers, and digital asset funds—offering tailored audit, tax, and advisory services that keep pace with this fast-evolving landscape.

Software Engineer

Location: London (Three days in office, two days wfh)

Salary: 37,500 + Bonus

We’re looking for an individual who has work experience in Python as their main programming language, mostly for back-end, with exposure to cloud. We need them to have exposure to data processing pipelines and ETL. Should have exposure to CI/CD, to an agile environment, and collaborative coding. We use best practices from software development and FinTech to create the solutions. Interest in crypto is a plus!

Key Responsibilities

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience.

• Proficiency in Python in work environments. Knowledge in TS/Node.js/Golang/SQL is advantageous.

• Experience in ETL and databases.

• Experience in version control (any modern platform)

• Exposure to CI/CD, unit testing, and production environment.

• Good team player. We value collaboration and responsibility—soft skills.

• Attention to detail, keen to work in an industry where the standards are being defined.

• Exposure to agile methodologies.

• Experience in collaborative code reviews.

• Exposure to cloud.

• Linux exposure is a plus.
